If the first apparition was June 24, 1981, why is the anniversary of the apparitions celebrated on June 25th?

June 25th is the first day that all six of the Medjugorje visionaries, Mirjana, Ivanka, Vicka, Marija, Ivan, and Jakov, saw Our Lady for the first time together. In the beginning of April, 1982, Mirjana asked Our Lady when She would like to be honored. Our Lady responded:

“I wish a feast for the Queen of Peace on the 25th of June, the anniversary of the first apparition.”
